Summer Writing

I’m a little slow with my summer writing prompts this summer, but I wanted to point you to a great resource. Kate Messner, is running a program called Teacher’s Write. She does this every summer with the idea that teachers and librarians who teach writing should get a chance to explore writing themselves in a safe, supportive environment so they can do it alongside their students during the year. The writing prompts are suitable for kids as well, beginning with today’s, on the rules (or perhaps I should say “rules”) for keeping a writing notebook. Then jump over to Jo Knowles’ blog for a lesson on getting unstuck.
